I love a good movie but I think what I love even more is how an actress brings a certain character or role to life. Like Nicole Kidman did when she played in the movie the hours. In almost every role that she plays in her character is so real and believable that you find yourself getting emotions for the character whether good or bad. That was just an example because she was not included in this particular list. I only listed 5. My reasons will follow.
1. Faye Dunaway She is one of my favorites. Every Time I see her in a movie, she is so believable. In my opinion she would be one to follow or imitate as an actress. When she played the role of Joan Crawford in Mommie Dearest she was Joan Crawford. Her acting was absolutely fabulous. I know this because I get angry at her character at times in the movie
2. Diana Ross It is hard to find someone that is a good singer and actor but she is one of the few. Her first acting role was in Lady Sings the Blues and she was brilliant. Although she hasn't been in very many movies, the ones that she starred in showcased her gift as a talented actress. There is a movie that she played in called Out of Darkness that gives me chills. It has been rarely seen and was not released in theatres but she was very good in it.
3. Anne Heche. When I was younger she played in a daytime show where she was a double character. She had a twin sister. I knew she would be someone to watch. I haven't watched a movie yet with her in it, that I didn't have strong feelings about her character.
4. Katherine Mcgregor (Harriet Oleson) I grew up watching Little House on the Prairie and she was very entertaining in her character as Mrs. Oleson. She stole every scene she was in. All I kept thinking was what would she do next.
5. Jamie Lee Curtis. She is very versatile. No matter what character she plays as whether it is innocent and wholesome or not so much, she can pull it off. In Freaky Friday you really believed that she was the teenager played by Lindsay Lohan. To me she is as versatile as John Travolta, of which they both starred in a movie together called Perfect.
