Getting Married on a budget

Getting married is one of the most important decisions that you will make in life.  Your hopes, dreams, and plans will be shared with your mate, hopefully for the rest of your lives.  It is the celebration and union of two individuals coming together all in the name of Love.  Having said that, my husband and I got married for very little money.  I'd like to share with you some things you can do to have a simple wedding.  The first thing I did was buy a gown at a discount store.  It was beautiful and elegant and it didn't cost me a lot of money.  You could also rent a gown or tux.  We drove to  a bed and breakfast about 70 miles away and actually got married there.  This may sound strange, but it was very romantic because it was done in the formal living room by a grand piano with beautiful chandeliers and many other touches.  The owners were our witnesses and they simply called over a minister over to say the formal I do's.  This is absolutely legal and legitimate.  They supplied a box of chocolates, drinks and snacks and more. The next morning we had a nice big breakfast with eggs benedict, kiwi and a variety of items to eat.  We sat in the formal dining room with other couples at a very romantic large table with candles lit and soft music playing in the background.  Afterward, we had a small gathering at our home for friends and family.  If you want a traditional wedding with bridesmaids at a formal service then this may not be the option for you.  This is just and alternative or suggestion for those who want something simple.
