In my latest job search, I have come across some pretty interesting jobs that you can do from home. Some of them include getting paid to research the Internet. I have actually never heard of it before, but it is true and a legitimate way to earn money online. The company is Leapforce and they are currently hiring for people to rate advertisements and websites for a few hours a day. They pay is around $17 per hour. All you need is a computer, Internet access, preferably high-speed Internet access and that is basically it. You will be required to fill out an application online with a resume, but the job is really simple. Lionbridge is another company that is somewhat similar in nature because they are hiring for Internet assessors to evaluate search engines and more. Google is hiring for ads quality rater. You do not apply directly through Google for this position, instead they outsource through a company called WorkforceLogic. The job is part-time for 10-30 hours per week. This job entails research the internet to make sure that Google's content for their advertisements are accurate. This will include web pages, images, and all other kinds of information. There is an online tool that is provided for you to do your analysis.

There are also some jobs that are similiar to Textbroker and Yahoo Contributor that pay you upfront for writing your articles. I have even found a job that will pay you to review video games. If you are a gamer and love all kinds of video games, then this job may be right up your alley. There are also writing jobs posted here for additional magazine companies that not only pay for writing but also will pay you for submission of photography that you own or possess. Most are specific in what kind of photos that they need or desire. But I believe that this is a good thing because you know upfront exactly what is expected of you. Saving you time and energy. Lionbridge

Internet Assessors Program. The Rater role involves evaluating results of a web search, for appropriateness to search query input. Participants will be required to provide their opinion of the result displayed based on a set of guidelines. Their hours of work are flexible. The recommended hours of work are 10-20 hours per week. Their is an exam that has to be completed before being accepted into the Rating Program. The pay is around $14.00 per hour.

Leapforce

Search engine evaluator. They need individuals for an exciting work from home opportunity. Applicants must be self motivated and Internet savvy. This is an opportunity to evaluate and improve search engine results for one of the world's largest Internet search engine companies. There is a test that is required before working as a search engine evaluator.

Google Quality Ads Rater

As an Ads Quality Rater, you will be responsible for reporting and tracking the visual quality and content accuracy of Google advertisements. Ads Quality Raters use an online tool to examine advertising-related data of different kinds and provide feedback and analysis to Google. Projects worked on may involve examining and analyzing text, web pages, images, and other kinds of information. You will need an in depth and up-to-date familiarity with English- speaking web culture and media. Hours are part-time 10-20 a week. The pay is around $15-16 per hour.

Valley Direct Media

They are a website that is similar to Textbroker. They need web content writers. For some subjects or topics there is little or no research from you as a writer. Weekly pay.

Real Media Group

They need freelance article writers and product reviewers. They will pay you an additional bonuses for your articles or reviews that you submit along with your regular pay. They pay every Thursday.

Writing World

They need writers to submit articles on almost any subject to be included on their monthly e-mail newsletter. Humor pieces is $15. For articles the pay is $0.05 per word. $25 for reprints

Animation Arena

Need writers or bloggers to submit reviews of video games, comic books, movies, etc. The pay is $15 per review. Can do up to 10 reviews per month.

Backpacker

Looking for writers to submit articles on hiking, backpack destinations in the U.S., etc. The pay is $0.60 to $1.00 per word.

Highlights Magazine

Is a children's magazine that will pay writers to submit articles on fiction. They pay is $150. They also pay $25 for verses, $150 for non-fiction. Stories for beginning readers, should feature a variety of familiar words that can easily be shown as pictures.

  • Rebuses should have 120 words or fewer.
  • Rebuses with a surprise or twist at the end often work best.
  • Payment: $100 and up.
  • For writing on how to do crafts and projects of that nature. They pay $25 and up. Finger plays and action rhymes $25 and up.
  • Puzzles $25 and up.
  • Picture Puzzles $50 and up.
  • Articles on kids. They should focus on children who are serving others through unique, interesting, kid-generated projects.

    Payment: $150 and up.

  • Gripped

  • This is a magazine about the experience of climbing and the outdoors that features stories and articles tailored around this subject not not limited to. They pay $250 for features, $150 for profiles, cover photos $200, $150, $100 full page, $75 half page, $50 for less than half.

  • Stone Soup

  • They need articles from young writers ages 13 and younger on stories, illustrations, reviews, and more. All contributors whose work is accepted for publication receive a certificate, two complimentary copies, and discounts on other purchases. In addition, contributors of stories, poems and book reviews are paid $40 each; illustrators are paid $25 per illustration.

  • Canoe & Kayak

  • Need articles from writers that are geared toward canoeing and kayaking. They pay $0.50 per published word.

  • Trains magazine

  • They buy new stories and feature articles about the railroad industry. Past and present. They pay begins at $0.10 per word.

  • Business Training College

  • Need articles on the writing industry, writing on the Internet, how to write fillers and articles, etc. They pay is $52 U.S. dollars per 700 words.

  • Mother Earth News

  • Needs articles on handy how-to tips. $25-$100 per 100-300 words. 1st person stories $150 per 1,500-2,000 words.

  • Adventure magazine

  • A magazine company based in New Zealand that pays for articles on travels, discoveries, etc. They pay $246.42 U.S. dollars for features, They also pay $164.28 U.S. dollars for photos.

  • Turkey Country Magazine

  • They use articles on hunting, the outdoor lifestyle, etc.

    Features run 1,000 to 1,200 words and range $350 to $550 in payment. Departments run 500 to 1,000 words and range $250 to $350 in payment. Note: We purchase both First North American Serial Rights for print and for electronic usage on turkeycountrymagazine.com, which includes a digital version of the magazine. They also pay for photos.

  • Cover = $800
    Contents pages = $250
    Two-page spread = $300
    Full page = $200
    Half-page = $150
    If the photo is less than half a page the rate is negotiated by the editor.
